Here are some books I’m currently ogling while attempting to get a respectable South Beach tan.

This book is by Frans de Waal, who is absolutely brilliant in my opinion. He’s a leading primatologist in basically everything. Predominantly Dr. de Waal focusses on evolution and empathy but here he pretty much tells us, humans and primates are related on such a deeper level its sometimes frightening. I know, I know, reading, who does that but, give it a try! The read isn’t long and its not filled with scientific jargon and its for primate lovers and curious cats!

To sum up this book in one small paragraph: “Dear Dr Tatiana, My name’s Twiggy, and I’m a stick insect. It’s with great embarrassment that I write to you while copulating, but my mate and I have been copulating for 10 weeks already. I’m bored out of my skull, yet he shows no sign of flagging. He says its because he’s madly in love with me, but I think he’s just plain mad. How can I get him to quit? Sick of Sex in India.” This book will definitely will leave you laughing, a lot.

Chomsky. He is the man himself. A linguist and a brilliant professor and thinker that challenges what is said and done in the world and in the states. Not only does Chomsky eloquently breaks down and questions actions that journalists have avoided or merely have not acknowledged. This book goes into the Israel Palestine conflict, Iran and American relations, the rise of China and goes into the occupation democratic revival in Afghanistan and more.
